- Apply a very thin layer of the base gel (e.g. Cracking Liquid BASE COAT or French Gel SNOW WHITE). It does not matter whether the nail is filed, with or without a tacky layer.
- Let the base coat dry (UV lamp: 90 seconds, LED: 30-45 seconds).
- Quickly apply the Cracking Liquid.
- Let the Cracking Liquid dry in the air until it does not have a single wet spot.
- Seal the nail with one of our sealing gels.
Instructions for use and storage of Cracking Liquid
Cracking Liquid is a water-based product. The evaporation of the water contributes to the creation of the desired pattern. To use the liquid for a long time, please pay attention to the following:
- After using the liquid, clean the neck of the bottle thoroughly.
- Close the bottle carefully, immediately and thoroughly after each use to avoid drying out and thus associated lumps in the liquid.
- CAUTION! Before sealing the nail, make sure that the Cracking Liquid is completely dry. Since this is a liquid and not a gel, it is easy to be mistaken about when and if the Liquid is already dry. Even a small spot that is not completely dry can cause the sealer to not bond to the nail.
- Please note: Complaints in connection with incorrect storage as well as use of the product are excluded.
FAQ - frequently asked questions
I applied the Cracking Liquid as shown in the video tutorial, however, it sets up and flakes off as it dries.
It is due to the gel that was used as a base coat for the Cracking Liquid. Different gels have a different " tacky" dispersion layer. Please use Cracking Liquid BASE COAT or Snow White, which are suitable for the Cracking Liquid as a base coat. The correct primer ensures that the Cracking Liquid does not flake off when drying and the surface of the nail thus remains smooth.
Cracking Liquid leaves streaks when applied
It doesn't matter. After the Cracking Gel has cracked, the brush strokes will hardly be visible.
Cracking Liquid does not "burst" or it takes very long
Cracking Liquid is a water-based liquid. The thicker the layer, the longer it takes for the water it contains to evaporate and create the cracking pattern. Cold air from a hair dryer is a great help. This reduces the drying time enormously.
Why is it that the cracking pattern is sometimes fine, sometimes coarse?
The thicker you apply the layer of Cracking Liquid, the coarser the pattern will be and the slower it will dry.
Cracking Liquid BASE COAT generally produces a coarser pattern than Snow White.
Can Cracking Liquid nevertheless be put under the UV/LED lamp.
Yes, the cracking process is only accelerated because the evaporation of the water contained in the product takes place faster in the heat generated by the lamp.
What do I use to seal the nail with the Cracking Liquid?
All finishing gels from Saida Nails provide good protection for the Cracking Liquid.
